We are looking for a seriously talented programmer. Our goal is to find someone who will be able to work remotely full-time to help us complete our latest project.

We need to take an existing code base and re-work much of it to take advantage of new options. The code is php, with a html/javascript interface.

We want to streamline the interface using ajax. We also want to rework a lot of the code to make it more reliable and efficient. Part of the project will involve using S3 and EC2 to allow us better leverage at lower cost.

We want to avoid the usual B.S. (test projects, dozens of code samples, etc) because we just want to get started right away.

We run an internet development company that rarely takes clients because we are far to busy with our own in-house projects. So every ‘tech, language, framework’ is fair game. However, ideally we want someone who is skilled in the following:

—Php —RoR —Ajax —Linux/Apache —MySql

Essentially we want a solid LAMP programmer who also is on top of the latest ‘must use’ technologies like RoR. But frankly, you wouldn’t be reading this blog if you weren’t a fan of RoR so that should be easy.

The ideal candidate also will be neck deep in things like:

—Amazon S3 —Amazon EC2 —Hadoop

At any time we employ 8-12 programmers to help us out. Most we work with long-term. And most are full-time contractors for us. So we know how to pay on time, manage projects (Basecamp) and generally know how to make life easier for you.

We also do some kick ass stuff with A.I, Neural Networks, and Genetic Algos—-but that is a discussion for another time.

You must be able to be online via Yahoo IM as that is one of our tools of choice-flawed as it may be.
