Elcome International is a 40 year-old technology company headquartered in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Our core business is selling and servicing advanced navigation, communication, and safety systems for the marine industry.

Our customers include some of the largest commercial ship operators, regional and global navies, and owners of the some of the largest super-yachts in the world.

The time has come for our website to match the reputation our business has built for itself. We’ve got a new logo, now we just need a site to match.

We are looking for a talented designer / web author to design, implement, and support a new website for our company with the following basic requirements:

• Visually appealing, clean, and simple. The majority of our customers and companies and government organizations, but that doesn’t mean our site should be ugly and uninviting.
• Easy to maintain and update. We aren’t web gurus, we just need an easy way to add news, change office phone numbers, and new links, etc. The CMS provided should be simple and built on a platform that can easily be deployed on major web hosting services…so ASP or PHP. Additionally, the CMS should allow both IE and Firefox users to update the site.
• Standards compliant. We want a site that has content that is XHTML Strict compliant with valid CSS, yet is visually appealing and dynamic. It should look good and be useable on PCs, Macs, Windows Mobile phones, iPhones, etc.
